History of the observatory
Why such an "observatory-castle" at Abbadia? This project
stared at the end of the XIXth century and was due to one man: Antoine d'Abbadie, scientist and sponsor.
He will build the observatory, accompany the astronomers in their work and be at the forefront of the technique
for astronomical observations.
